2021 Charitable IRA Rollover Opportunity
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a charitable gift of up to $100,000 from your traditional IRA, which may also qualify as your required minimum distribution (RMD). You will not pay federal income tax on the amount given from your IRA to Regent University. Please remember that if you wish to make a Charitable IRA Rollover gift in 2021, you must do so by Dec. 31, 2021, for it to qualify this year.
NOTE: If you are writing a check from your “IRA Checkbook,” please note that the gift is not considered completed until the funds are withdrawn from your custodial account. For year-end processing, please mail your check by Dec. 1 to ensure your gift qualifies for the current tax year.
If you already made a gift directly from your IRA to Regent University at any point during 2021, your gift would qualify as a Charitable IRA Rollover. If you need assistance, please contact Brad Phillips, Executive Director of Major and Planned Giving, at (757)352-4262 or email@example.com.
If you have any questions about making a year-end gift, please call (800) 335-4409 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
